Wcee organizes educational, professional development, and networking events for its members. For the fiscal year 2022, this included: virtual executive exchange series conversations with leaders like ferc chairman richard glick, usea acting executive director shelia hollis, chief sustainability officer of los angeles lauren o'connor, dept. Of Energy office of Energy efficiency and renewable Energy principal kelly speakes-backman, naruc center for partnership & innovation directors, alliance to save Energy president paula glover, naseo leadership, and the director of the federal permitting Council christine harada. Wcee also held two virtual events celebrating its 40th anniversary: fireside chat with founding members and a networking event featuring the honorable jane lubchenco, ph.d., dep. Dir. For climate and environment at the white house office of science and technology policy.
