Nonprofits in Texas

There are 24,308 organizations in Texas. Combined, these Texan nonprofits employ 887,046 people, earn more than $135 billion in revenue each year, and have assets of $359 billion.
Methodology: Cause IQ mines all tax-exempt organizations that file a Form 990 or 990PF with the IRS. We exclude Form 990EZ and Postcard filers, which are high in number but very small in size. We collect and aggregate this information from OCR'd paper taxreturns, XML e-file taxreturns, IRS-provided extract, the Business Master File, and Cause IQ secret sauce for data cleaning, categorization, classification, analytics, etc.
