Program areas at Urban Adventure Squad
Urban Adventure Squad partners with schools, community educators, colleges and universities, other nonprofits, and small businesses to create programs that let students learn by doing and propose solutions to pressing societal problems, including environmental injustices, transportation infrastructure, and inclusion. The Center explores public lands and local greenspaces while Learning from environmental educators and Learning about career paths (e.g., in government, the restaurant industry) by inviting experts to talk to students. Students also learn about local history by hiking through local neighborhoods.
