Turtle Lake Community Hospital Association

A $10,000 donation was given to the Turtle Lake Fire Department to assist in completion of a helicopter pad. It will be utilized by the hospital for transfers of seriously injured or ill patients. The State of North Dakota established a loan repayment program for healthcare professionals. This match is for those who work in areas of need. Amanda Schmidt, FNP applied for the loan repayment program and she was selected. In order to qualify she needed to receive a community match. Our rural hospital is very important to us and our community. We wanted to give back in a way that would keep Amanda in this area so we did not hesitate to match the State of North Dakota with a $15,000 donation.The Turtle Lake Hospital Association is responsible for maintaining the building and the grounds. Throughout the year the hospital encountered a variety of issues that needed to be updated or fixed including replacement of all water softeners within the hospital.Donation of $1,000 was made to hospitals lab technician. Staff member lost numerous family members due to COVID in the Philippines. A donation was made to help assist with expenses.
