We mobilize resources to advance quality of life, increase social impact and champion civic engagement though effective, responsible, and innovative philanthropy. Our 45-year history is filled with inspiring stories of donors who give generously, and nonprofits that create positive change. We manage more than $1 billion in assets and have granted more than $1.2 billion back to The community since 1975.we manage charitable funds for hundreds of individuals, families, and corporations. A gift to The San Diego Foundation provides maximum tax deductions, outstanding investment management and low administrative costs. With more than 44 years serving The community and hundreds of active partnerships with leaders and organizations, we are able to assess changing regional needs and take action on San Diego's most pressing challenges. We gather this information and create an ongoing understanding of San Diego's needs so that we can pair it with our understanding of our donors' passions, values and interest areas and connect them with nonprofit organizations that offer solutions to grow a vibrant region.the Foundation allows individuals and families to establish customized charitable funds without The burden of tax liabilities and administrative tasks associated with setting up a private Foundation.
