Description
Organize and host several community-wide events, sports and recreational activities through our official celebration partners. We create awareness throughout the st. louis area of our 250th birthday and encourage diverse groups and individuals to engage and collaborate in planning events and service projects observing the 250th anniversary.

Program areas at STL250

2014 was filled with hundreds of stl250 events that took place across the 15 Metro St. Louis counties. Thousands of St. Louis area residents participated in events ranging from "grass roots to grand scale". All year long the stl250 website calendared events from local neighborhood parties to fundraisers to volunteering opportunities to arts and education events, and also included professionally produced events across all categories of activities including more than 500 events from 200+ organizers. stl250 Signature Events featured the February Birthday Weekend that included "The Biggest Birthday Bash" that entertained hundreds at the Missouri History Museum, the "Burnin' Love" kickoff party on Art Hill attended by thousands, the Reenactment of the Founding of St. Louis, featuring hundreds including dignitaries from Quebec, France and the Osage Nation. Other Signature event included the Fourth of July Celebration in Forest Park and First Night "Cakeway to the West" art project + scavenger hunt + history lesson.
