Program areas at Safe Harbor
Shelter: Safe Harbor's emergency shelters are confidentially located in three upstate south carolina counties (greenville, anderson, and oconee). Services offered for survivors and their children include a Safe place to stay, food and household supplies, advocacy services, and client support needs. From 01/01/2025 - 09/30/2025, we sheltered 291 people, including 188 adults and 103 children.
Housing assistance: Safe Harbor provides housing assistance to survivors of domestic abuse for up to 24 months. Housing clients receive rent and utilities assistance as well as access to case management and supportive services. From 01/01/2025 - 09/30/2025, 34 households - including 34 adults and 60 children - received housing assistance.
Community services: Safe Harbor's community services include clinical psychotherapy, case management, legal advocacy, and domestic abuse education. Services are available to survivors in greenville, anderson, pickens, and oconee counties in upstate south carolina. From 01/01/2025 to 09/30/2025, the community services program provided 2,130 hours of direct services to 369 people, including 328 adults and 41 children.
Safe Harbor has a volunteer program, an education program (including community education/trainings and school-based prevention programming for middle and high school students) and a resale shop that is a combination of programs (providing client needs), outreach, and fundraising.
