The Ryan Seacrest Foundation's first initiative is to build broadcast media centers, named Seacrest studios, within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. The aim of Seacrest studios is to contribute positively to the healing process for the children and their families during their stay by developing these centers to bring an uplifting spirit to the hospital community. We believe access to multimedia experiences will bring patients exciting and stimulating adventures and encourage optimistic thoughts during treatment. The Foundation brings special guests and celebrities to the broadcast media centers for patients and their families to meet, interview and watch perform. Since the inception of the Foundation, over 1,200 celebrity guests havevisited the 11 Seacrest studios. In addition to celebrity visits, theprogramming of each studio allows patients to play games, engage ineducational shows , host their own radio and tv shows, plus much more.patients have the ability to come down to the studio to participate orthey can watch the programming from the tv in their room via aclosed-circuit network. The Foundation also has created the ability tointerconnect all of the Seacrest studios, so programming can be sharedwith hospitals all over the country - a widely used feature during thecovid- 19 pandemic. In 2022 the Foundation supported the studios by doing a technology overhaul upgrading equipment and modifying wiring and equipment racks in studios to get them in the best possible shape for creating top notch programming for patients.in 2022 the Foundation also hosted it's biennial Seacrest studios summit in orlando, Florida. During the summit, all hospital partners came together to share best practices and plan for continued growth in the ever-changing world of media. Staff members heard from leaders in the fields of media, mental and behavioral health and youth content programming. Rsf continues to invest in professional development opportunities for studio staff and welcomes feedback for continued studio growth and improvement.2022 saw 109 talent visits from january to december. These visits included musicians, actors, social media influencers, gamers, athletes and more, as well as a call with the international space station live from space as they orbited the united states.the Foundation also provides engineeringassistance to support all studios for any technology needs throughoutthe course of the year. Through a partnership with jakks pacific, seacrest studios nationwide received $329,724 worth of costumes andtoys to provide patients. Additionally, all Seacrest studios teams received a donation of annual adobe creative cloud licenses, a gift with a total value of $10,198. Rsf continued relationships with sago mini, hosting a virtual story time live from the sago mini studio for patients and families in all studio locations. The group donatedsubscription boxes filled with educational crafts to all rsf hospital partners for patients to learn and explore their creativetalents. Through a relationship with love your melon, rsf was ableto coordinate the donation of more than $70,680 worth of beanies, superhero books and masks to patients and their families. In 2022, rsf continued to expand the Seacrest studios pre-recorded content library, providing access to performances, virtual field trips, artist created content, and more. New relationships secured provided approximately 65 hours of additional programming.in 2022, rsf announced two new studios to be built at le bonheur children's hospital in memphis, tn and primary children's hospital in salt lake city, utah.with regards to programming, the 11 Seacrest studio locations reached approximately 2.3 million patients and families, broadcasted 10,600 hours in live shows and hosted 530patient- created shows. It is also important to the Foundation to reachout to the community and involve students from local universi ties.therefore, the organization provides students with the opportunity togain first- hand experience through an internship program at Seacrest studios in broadcasting, programming and operating a multimedia center.the Foundation, in partnership now with 11 hospitals, has worked withmore than 100 universities and had more than 1,100 interns, in which 21have been hired to work in a Seacrest studio or an internal ryanseacrest subsidiary.
