Program areas at Rasmuson Foundation

The Foundation served as the state of Alaska's digital equity administrator for developing its plans on how to distribute federal funds to enhance access to broadband internet in all communities across the state. The Foundation engaged contractors to draft the state's digital equity plan in a transparent and inclusive manner, and also to lay groundwork for the state of Alaska to address digital equity in the implementation phase. Additionally, the Foundation provided assistance to non-profit organizations in their efforts to provide public outreach for the proposed plan.
The Foundation directed resources to its homelessness initiative, engaging contractors to assist with strategic, program, financial, and infrastructure developments. Experts from differing cultures, locations and organizations collaborated to explore constructive measures to end homelessness in Alaska.
The Foundation's individual artist award program awards one distinguished artist award, ten fellowship awards, and twenty-five project awards. Various teleconferences and gatherings of panelist were hosted to review and select from over three hundred applications to the program.
