Young Families Connect: Year 4 of 4 year grant: Continued to use multi-media strategies to support projects health, self- sufficiency and parenting priorities. Increased use and expanded format of social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to highlight relevant and timely health topics and to engage intended audience. Re-designed national Text4baby service promotional cards for local distribution. Featured program participants in weekly blogs for peer-to-peer communication to others in their situation. Provided technical assistance and training to project coordinators and case managers. Participated in local Community Advisory Group meetings, statewide project meetings and with the NC Div. of Public Health and project partners.

Safe sleepNorth Carolinas statewide Infant Safe Sleep Campaign promotes evidence-based, infant safe sleep practices and behaviors that reduce the risk of babies dying from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and prevent other infant sleep-related deaths (i.e., asphyxiation and suffocation.)
