Program areas at Mercy Ministries

Day shelter is provided for homeless and low income clients for approximately 100 people per day. We provide food, drink, bathrooms, showers, and laundry. Clients are physically safe and protected from inclimate weather. Case management is available for housing and employment opportunities.
Food program: we were desiginated as essential services when covid started. We distribute food all over our area and home deliver to those that cant get to a distribution center. We are part of our local food banks retail rescue program. We pick up from 10 grocery stores and restaurants daily and distribute the food in our area. The only cost we incur for food is fuel for our vehicles.
Client services provided help to provide housing and obtain medical care for uninsured clients. We work with a medical clinic to provide medical care and provide prescription medication at our expense. We furnish uniforms, boots, and equipment for workers. We obtain birth certificates and social security cards. Clients are required to obtain state id cards which we pay for. We provide transportion to medical appointments and job interviews.
