Program areas at Nebraska Lions Foundation

These grants are made for the continued support of the organizations that provide leadership and support for the sight, hearing, and physically impaired and the underpriviledged.
The mobile screening unit (msu) is a testing vehicle that travels across the state of Nebraska performing free testing services to the citizens of Nebraska. The services include eye tests, glaucoma tests, blood sugar & blood pressure tests, and hearing tests. This msu has provided over 20 million of free service.
All money spent was for assistance to individuals that needed help in the areas of hearing, sight, diabetes, and related equipment and surgeries. All assistance is referred and matched by local Lions clubs, or referred to us by state vision & hearing organizations.
The Lions camp is a camp for the visually impaired children in the state and allows the opportunity for the children to camp, canoe, swim and enjoy the outdoors. The Foundation coordinates the sale of peaches across the state of Nebraska. There are over 100 clubs within Nebraska that sell the peaches within their local communities.
