Hosting programs and resource connection events, including evening of joy, music therapy, navigating neurological, moms connection, & parent connection/coffee talks.mental health services: jjmf is committed to aiding parents and caregivers mental health, enabling them to help prioritize their emotional and overall wellness, and be best equipped to care for their child. Through st. louis childrens hospital, jjmf funds free mental health services, both in- and out-patient, to help parents and caregivers support their mental wellbeing and provide positive benefits for the whole family. Jjjmf is also committed to helping de-stigmatize mental health issues in parents and caregivers, helping to facilitate important conversations and understanding, and provide relief.jjmf virtual music therapy for families: jjmf hosts a virtual group music therapy session with maria carron, founder of midwest music therapy. Parent and caregiver connections: jjmf hosts various outings to connect parents and caregivers of children with medically complex, neurological conditions to gather together and connect in a casual and fun environment.jjmf coffee talk: jjmf hosts a virtual session to allow fellow parents of children with medically complex, neurological conditions to listen to and discuss procedure and therapy success stories.evening of joy: jjmf hosts an evening to celebrate the special moments of joy families experience in caring for children with medically complex neurological conditions.virtual book club: jjmf hosts a virtual book club for mothers of medically complex children and bereaved mothers in our courageous community.
Month of june.jjmf celebrates this special month by cultivating care and community for families with children affected by medically complex, neurological conditions. Jjmf has an exciting month planned with in-person and virtual events.care packages are delivered to parents and caregivers of children with medically complex, neurological conditions at st. louis childrens hospital as well as to homes across the united states.
Financial assitance for families.jjmf provides grants for families to relieve some of the financial burdens of the conditions. The grants help to pay for many essential items not covered or only partially covered by insurance, such as medical care, medications, medical equipment, in-home nursing, respite care, specialized formula, and more.when establishing the jjmfs financial support for families, we had one primary goal in mind: to make the process easy. We understand the mounds of paperwork and lengthy applications families are required to complete on an ongoing basis, and we work to make the process as seamless and quick as possible for them, helping to relieve some of their financial stress.
