Program areas at Jewish Family Service of North Jersey
Family services: jfsnj's Family services include individual, couples, Family and children's counseling, and vocational counseling to individuals who are coping with life's challenges. Services are provided by licensed clinical social workers who are on numerous insurance panels. Sliding fee scale is available to those who are struggling financially. Areas of specialization includes anxiety disorders, mood disorders, divorce/separation, school refusals, special needs, grief, caregiving, play therapy, parenting and lifecycle transitions.
Senior adult services and services to holocaust survivors: jfsnj provides older adults with counseling (in the office and in the home), caregiving and bereavement groups, kosher meals on wheels, geriatric assessments, care coordination, Family consultations, advocacy, volunteer friendly visitors, and information and referrals. Services provide the elderly with an opportunity to age in place in a supportive environment. Services to holocaust survivors include care coordination, emergency assistance, subsidized home care, dental care, counseling and cafe europa (a supportive social program). The wolff caregiver center for Family members of loved ones with alzheimer's disease provides Family consultation, care coordination, caregiver groups, counseling and psychoeducational programs on alzheimer's and dementia. The agency serves over 750 older adults.
