Foundation for Children

Oral health project to leverage existing programs engaging non-dental clinicians in oral health throughout ct, ma, and ri expanding the impact at a regional level. The ultimate goal is to build a national model program. 89 physicians in the region were trained and are using flouride varnish for Children on medicaid under age 4. This program reaches over 9,000 Children under age 4.

Education programs via live seminars, teleconferences, and webinars. Content is developed and presented to medical health professionals to keep them updated on the latest advancements relating to the health/welfare of Children of all socio-economic classes. 21 webinars were attended by over 2,250 participants. 3 liver seminars were attended by 175 physicians, 250 nurses, and 50 other medical personnel.

Immunization program supports programming, training, and data entry functions to maintain a statewide child immunization database from records provided by pediatric offices and hospitals. The immunication registry includes more than 350 pediatric practices, tracking the first 5 years of immunication history for 204,000 Children.
