Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan

The Family and Court referral program manage court-ordered community service programs. We connect non-violent offenders with appropriate Volunteer opportunities at local nonprofits, government agencies and other eligible organizations. Our community service coordinators work directly with program participants to place them in a Volunteer position that is commensurate with their skills, experience and physical abilities. As volunteers, they reap direct personal benefits. Volunteering can help develop leadership skills. In an independent study, 83% of volunteers reported that they acquired, improved, or developed leadership skills.
