The Elizabeth Foundation connects people experiencing chronic homelessness in Metro Atlanta through peer mentorship, advocacy, and case management to provide wrap around services, connect to stable housing, and provide aftercare. In 2022, the foundation operated a Basic Needs program that distributes food, clothing, hygiene supplies, first aid, and other resources to clients at their weekly outreach and other times as needed. They also offer a Harm Reduction program.

Program areas at Elizabeth Foundation

The following programs were operated in 2023:1)Temporary housing for clients with special needs (e.g., life-threatening chronic illness, third trimester of pregnancy or living with young children. Support clients who require extended hotel stays (anticipated to be 12 weeks for each client) in a hotel where we have a negotiated discounted rate. 2)Obtaining documents (birth certificates, Social Security cards and GA State ID cards for 50 new clients. These documents are required for housing and jobs.3)Support the cost of medicines for chronically ill clients who have no other means to purchase prescriptions.
