Program areas at Eccywk
Eccwyk seeks to develop a sustainable Early childood system, which includes: (1)providing training to local care providers; (2) raising community awareness of Early Childhood issues; (3)collaborating with local stakeholders. This work extends across Yuma, Washington, and Kit Carson Counties in northeastern Colorado.
Eccywk received a grant from the Colorado health foundation to support family, friend, and neighbor ("ffn") caregivers. This includes providing ffn caregivers with information and resources on best practices, as well as providing them with opportunities for professional development.
Eccywk helps child care programs access and navigate the resources available through the Colorado shines rating & improvement system. This includes administering financial incentives providers can use to purchase supplies and materials.
With funding from the buell foundation, Eccywk continues to provide annual professional development stipends to local care providers for education, as well as mini-grants for purchasing supplies. The Council also continues to administer funds from Yuma, Washington, & Kit Carson Counties to advance the quality and accessibility of Early Childhood care.
