APEX became the fiscal intermediary for APEX Ministries United Methodist Church for the last 6 months of 2017. This church was formed by the young people of APEX and finances were monitored, paid, and passed through APEX Community Advancement until the church was chartered and banking accounts and officers were established. This was chiefly pass through funding from the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Net revenue reflects income to APEX for joint ministry projects passed to programming. APEX CA accounted for all revenues and expenditures in this 990 and it is not considered an endowment or grant, but a project of APEX Community Advancement, Inc.
Community Events - In order to fully support the families and the community surrounding APEX, in 2013 we began to provide food distributions through partnerships and in-kind donations, as well as community meals and other community events.
In addition, APEX took 3 youth and a chaperone for community development training, using net revenue from the APEX funds per the conditions of the grant.
