Live at Club Riviera centers on the prominence of African-American club owner and civil rights activist Jordan W. Chambers, from 1944 through 1964. Known as the "black Mayor of St. Louis", Chambers' savvy leadership marshalled hundreds of professional careers for black citizens in many fields as well as spotlighting Black up-and-coming local talent and national and international entertainers.
