Program areas at Youth Singers of the Bay Area

Summer music camp had approximately 55 attendees who learned basic music appreciation of various musical instruments = violins, orff instruments, piano, guitar, bell chimes and vocal music. Many of them participated in a musical performance using dancing and singing skills.
In March, the choir performed in front of 250 family members and friends as they presented their annual "Dessert and A Song" concert. During the evening they were able to 'showcase' their musical talents by singing solos, duets, small groups and multi-cultural songs.
Cosmic Collaboration Choral Festival was hosted by Youth Singers of the Bay Area. The Collaboration was supported by a grant from the Lunar Rendezvous Festival. The Cosmic festival was a first of it's kind, a collaboration of 5 choirs from Southeast Texas made up approximately 250 youth singers. Choirs gathered in Nasa Bay Texas to rehearse music based on the Cosmos and Space. Combined choirs performed under the direction of Master Choral Conductor Dr. Betsy Weber from the Univ. of Houston. Approximately 450 family and friends from various communities attended the concert.
