Program areas at WOMEN'S Community Clinic

Our integrated Women's health program provides a full range of client-centered clinical services, including acute and chronic primary care, sexual and reproductive health services, integrated mental health counseling, and referrals to onsite prenatal care. Experienced clinicians work together with our health workforce trainees to foster total mental, emotional and physical wellness for our clients. Our treatments are culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and tailored to each client's individual needs and circumstances.
Our outreach program provides homeless and marginally housed women in san francisco's mission district with health education, safer sex and hygiene supplies, safer drug use kits, nutritional support, case management, and direct referrals to health and other wrap-around social services. Our outreach team runs a weekly drop-in center and a ten-week long series of health education workshops as a way to further engage homeless women in accessing services, connecting with peers and fostering health and well-being.
Our workforce development programming keeps our services cost-effective while providing valuable training to the next generation of bay area healthcare providers, leaders, and advocates. Approximately 80% of workforce trainees go on to pursue degrees in the health professions, taking with them the Clinic's philosophies of client-centered whole person care. The Clinic's western addition health training (waht) program is specifically designed to provide career training and development opportunities for african-american women from the western addition. The program trains emerging health leaders and contributes to the elimination of health disparities for african american women and girls in san francisco.
