Program areas at What School Could Be Corporation
The What School Could Be online community: the What School Could Be online community is housed on a platform called mighty networks and at the end of the 2023 tax year had 15,000 educator and education leader members. This vibrant community directly furthers What School Could bes exempt purposes by providing a global online space where educators and education leaders explore the five themes of the What School Could Be Corporation: mobilizing your community, student-driven learning, real world challenges, assessments for deeper learning and caring and connected communities. Being a member of this online community means access to an infinite wealth of shared information about What School Could Be.
Awards & grants to others: wscb limited grants and sponsorships in 2023. Wscb focused on high-value grants, including providing funding for one masters fellow to attend the high tech high graduate School of education. This fellowship allowed for ruby brock to attain her masters and graduate at the top of her cohort, being offered the graduation speaker distinction. Wscb also provided funding for 26 Hawaii state teacher association members to persue their masters in education with spalding university, 2revolutions and wscb.
Professional development & consulting services: wscb developed and implemented professional development services in new brunswick, fayette ky, honolulu Hawaii, across Wyoming, Michigan, north dakota, and other locations directly in schools or School districts. Wscb also trained teachers and administrators in several professional conferences, impacting over 800 teachers and administrators directly, and over 20,000 educators systemically. This, in turn, impacted over 250,000 students. This was done through a series of 13 microcredentials, 7 sprints, 9 workshops and the masters program offerings.
