Program areas at Waterford Youth Assistance
Community Outreach & Annual Meeting - Waterford Youth Assistance engages in multiple programming within the community including participating in events like Holiday Hoopla Winter World of Love and Kindness Movies under the Moonlight Waterford Police Department Nights Out and Hess Hathaway park Sheep Sheering. We are able to interact with the public provide overviews of our programing and create activities for youth in our community.
Youth Recognition - Each year Waterford Youth Assistance recognizes youth in the Waterford community that give back by volunteering or assisting others. Students are nominated by members of the community that have noticed their actions. We hold an event this year at the schools performing arts hall attended by many community dignitaries where we read each students contribution and present them with certificates from local elected officials.
Camp and Youth Enrichment - Waterford Youth Assistance offers camp and youth enrichment grants to low income families & children within the Waterford Township Community. These scholarships provide an opportunity to participate in academic athletic and cultural skill building activities. Examples: Sports camps baseball basketball martial arts and soccer Summer School classes Reading language arts and Math Aquatic programs dance programs and cheer camps. We also offer educational programs and seminars on timely topics which are impacting youth within the Waterford Community.
