The series includes a Womens Empowerment Panel with women from the business and local community who share their thoughts on the importance of having mentors, balancing life and reaching financing goals. The TWEF Read to Lead program is an annual focus to equip the youth and community with access to technology. However, this years giveaway changed drastically due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey. Many students and their families were left without homes, posessions and other necessities. TWEF decided to give not only computers but provide families with clothing and meals to help the students in need. Students from two local schools were selected to write an essay. Those students with the most compelling essays were the chosen recipients of TWEFs holiday computer give-away. The increased level of aide to the community is projected to continue over the next three years.
