The cis case managers provided or collaborated on school-wide activities to increase student achievement and for parents and families in order to increase parent involvement and parent-school communication.
Ne educational Foundation - funds were granted through The north east independent school district for each of The magnificent 7 cluster schools to have an allocation of discretionary funds. These funds are restricted to benefiting students in either family engagement activities, participation in extracurricular activities, team support, staff engagement and culture, or student engagement and culture.
Youth orchestra of san antonio - funding was granted to youth orchestras of san antonio (yosa) to help build a world class orchestra program in The roosevelt cluster. Engagement included underwriting of concert series, campus level engagement, field trips, instrument loans, instructional support, and private lessons for middle and high school students. ALEXANDER WEINBERG - AFTER SCHOOL CHESS AND FAMILY CHESS NIGHTS: WEEKLY CHESS LESSONS ARE HELD AT MOLLY PRUITT PUBLIC LIBRARY ON THE ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS. EVERY THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL, A CHESS MASTER OFFERS SMALLGROUP CHESS INSTRUCTION TO ROOSEVELT STUDENTS. FOLLOWING AFTER SCHOOL CHESS, FAMILY CHESS NIGHT IS OPEN TO ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO IS INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE GAME. FUNDING PROVIDES DINNER AND CHESS INSTRUCTION FROM THE CHESS MASTER. ON AVERAGE, APPROXIMATELY 80 COMMUNITY MEMBERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5 to 65 ATTEND THE PROGRAM EACH WEEK. ADDITIONALLY, ALL SEVEN SUPPORTED SCHOOLS HAVE WEEKLY AFTER SCHOOL CHESS PROGRAMS AND BIANNUAL CHESS TOURNAMENTS. APPROXIMATELY 200 STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED IN THE AFTER SCHOOL CHESS PROGRAMS.
Assistance league of san antonio - funds were granted to support The one of The ten philanthropic programs which provide services to residents in every age range in The community. Operation school bell dresses at-risk children from elementary schools in The area. Children are identified by school personnel as having inadequate or inappropriate clothing for attending school. Each child receives sets of new clothes, personal care kit, school supplies and books.
