The National Teachers Hall of Fame recognizes and honors exceptional career teachers, encourages excellence in teaching, and preserves the rich heritage of the teaching profession in the United States. Annually, five outstanding teachers are identified and inducted into the Hall of Fame. The organization also manages and operates the National Teachers Hall of Fame. A Board of Trustees meeting is held annually to review actions of the organization and plan for the future.
