The School ended year 2023 with many happy parents enthusiastically telling their peers about The benefits of a Hawthorn education, spurring an 80% increase in student enrollment compared to The opening year of 2022. New extracurricular clubs blossomed in response to student interests, including rugby, basketball, and tennis. The School's rigorous liberal arts curriculum began to reverberate in The wider School community as Hawthorn students took home top prizes in The local public library's annual poetry contest for The first time. The School continued to attract top teaching talent who resonate to its mission, including graduates of The most selective universities and honors programs. In academic courses , The School added an additional classics teacher to further deepen its language offerings and new dedicated music and art teachers. Math offerings expanded to include geometry and algebra for middle schoolers who show advanced aptitude. Hawthorn continued to promote The spirit of adventure and discovery that has become its trademark, with monthly field trips to exciting venues ranging from The new york philharmonic to The yale university art gallery.
