Arts & Activism Youth Apprenticeship. The Arts and Activism Youth Apprenticeship is focused on exploring cultural activism. This includes exploring Black feminist movements, reading, watching, and discussing Black Feminist text and art, visiting TBP's most recent exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art, and other experiments and activities. The apprentices learn to use words and images as tools for understanding and confronting injuries related to gender, race, and identity in their community
Ekphrais in Black (EIB). EIB is a hybrid artform plus polictial education incubator designed to develop and deepen attendees' poetry, photography skills, and political consciousness.
Artist in Residence. The TBP Teaching Artise Residency is a 6-9 month artist-in-residence fellowship that provides an opportunity for Black women and non binary practicing artist to work on a specific project in partnership with TBP Selected artist may work in photography, file, poetry, writing, or other visual art media. In addition to teaching young artist in TBP's youth program pipeline, visiting artist in TBP's youth program pipeline, visiting artist are required to lead their own special project that engages the organziation' mission of advancing the representational and healing justice of Black girls, gender-expansive youth, and women.
