Program areas at Texas Academy 4

The staff of Texas Academy 4 provides program services on each school campus during the school day monthly. 2,700 fourth-grade students were served, as were another 1700 5th and 1st graders through the organization's leaders 5 program, where 5th graders mentor and read with 1st graders. Overall, 4,400 students were served in the program. The 4th grade program doubled in size over the last two school years. Long term, the organization has plans to continue its expansion into urban schools in dallas and fort worth and surrounding areas, austin, and beyond. Texas Academy 4 receives donated services, materials, and facilities which are significant to the operation of this program service.
Through its full circle scholars program, Academy 4 awarded 4 scholarships to students who were 4th graders in the program, came back to serve as high school students, and went through the application process.
4 families is a tool for Academy 4 church partners to encourage and build community among families in local schools, particularly the under-resourced. We offer workshops that start with parenting and expand to other topics such as financial literacy, leadership, english as a second language, and other topics targeted to the specific community's needs.the objective of this program is to equip members with knowledge and skills they need. Our primary topic is parenting. The program also seeks to build community with the parents, so they have others they can depend on encourage one another.we served 19 families through this program.
