Common Goal is dedicated to using soccer to create safe and inclusive communities across the united states. We focus on gender equity, lgbtq+ inclusion, and anti-racism education to create diverse, inclusive, and accessible sporting spaces for young people in disadvantaged areas across the country. In 2022, Common Goal delivered hundreds of hours of diversity, equity, ad inclusion programs in professional and grassroots soccer. We are committed to ensuring there are no longer geographic, economic, or cultural barriers in soccer.anti-racist project: in 2022, Common Goal USA Inc. reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to racial justice as a key impact area through partnerships and initiatives. As part of the anti-racist project, Common Goal USA piloted switch the pitch, a youth-centered program rooted in community and inclusive coaching. On and off the field, the pilot program directly impacted 91 coaches and youth participants and indirectly engaged with 470 players and community members. To measure the effectiveness of the team challenges, a working group was assembled. To assess the means in which the 6 program modules (empathy, awareness, safety, authenticity, appreciation, vulnerability) resonated with coaches, utilizing each of these tools enabled Common Goal USA to continue striving for actionable discourse and tangible solutions toward a more racially just soccer landscape.play proud: Common Goal USA's lgbtq+ inclusion project that works with all stakeholders across the soccer industry to make stadiums, communities and cities a safer space for lgbtq+ communities. In 2022, Common Goal brought together 24 organizations (8 professional clubs, 8 community orgs, and 8 supporters groups) for 100+ hours of training across the year. With residencies in los angeles and monterrey, 43 participants underwent a yearlong learning journey that gave them the skills, tools, and confidence to create safe spaces for lgbtq+ communities in their respective organizations and cities. Fox sports: Common Goal USA and fox sports teamed up during the 2022 fifa men's world cup. The partnership created a series of 3 videos highlighting the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in soccer and the wider communities. The partnership enabled Common Goal USA to expand its racial equity, gender equality and lgbtq+ inclusion programs across the united states.
