In may 2008 the organization started a collaboration with scientists at wake forest university who have developed a protocol for using granulocytes for treating solid tumors. The protocol was modified for implementation and investigational new drug approval was obtained in october 2008 for a phase i/ii clinical trial for 29 patients. Western institutional review board approval was obtained in novemeber 2008. Through 2022, 17 patients have been treated and 260 donors have been evaluated.
Young blood clinical study under food and drug administration approval evaluating the safety and efficacy of fresh frozen plasma (gmffp) from young healthy donors ages 18 to 35, who have granulocyte - colony stimulating factor (g-csf) to ameliorate frailty and enhance the immune risk profile in older indiviuals.
