St Louis Health Equipment Lending Program Inc. provides new and used home medical equipment (Hme) at no charge or fee to the uninsured, underinsured, disabled, and elderly in St. Louis. Hme devices include, but are not limited to, manual and power wheelchairs. Their mission is to provide Hme to the needy. The program increased its impact in 2022 with the number of people served more than doubling from 2019 to 2023, from 619 to 1664. Additionally, they diverted 54.87 tons of home medical equipment away from St. Louis area landfill sites.

The St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program (stlhelp) increased its impact in 2022. The number of people served more than doubled from 2019 to 2023, from 619 to 1664. Likewise, we diverted 54.87 tons of home medical Equipment away from St. Louis area landfills in 2022, up from 20.06 in 2019. Stlhelp increased access to free home medical Equipment by adding online access in 2022. Now anyone can request help anytime. This approach enables people to request help not only by telephone, but even from the internet, including hand-held devices.
