In 2012, the foundation created a comprehensive newspaper program with its corporate and community partners. The "your health matters" program, funded by a grant from Missouri Foundation for Health, addresses health disparities in the African-American community through a full-time healthcare reporter and two pages of content.

Program areas at St Louis American Charitable Foundation

The Foundation has provided more than $6 million in scholarships for local underserved students as well as delivering physical newspapers free to more than 7,000 students in nearly 300 classrooms in eight area school districts each week as part of its newspaper in education program. It also produces a 2-week intensive summer science academy for 25 outstanding students who were nominated by their teachers and have shown a high interest and aptitude for science learning. The Foundation also funds health education to addresses health disparities in the african American community.
