The Sailing software development project is developing a boat performance and race committee application (app) to enhance both the sailboat crews' racing experience and understanding through tracking and analytical data and to provide race committees with a superior tool to provide fairer and more enjoyable racing.
Syrf library is maintained online for use by naval architects and students. It is used by universities worldwide.
The "foil" project is a study being conducted by the itc (international technical committee) which is associated with the orc rating rule. The study focuses on four different foil shapes for modern race boats, to determine which would perform better. Syrf is supporting this project financially.
