Safe Harbor Family Services

Safe Harbor Family Services, Inc. recruits and trains adults to be qualified foster parents. When local counties, with whom the agency has established a working relationship, have the need to place children into foster care, they will refer such placements to the agency to find an appropriate match. When the agency identifies a suitable home for the child, the placement will be made, and the agency's role changes from placement to supervision. An agency social worker is assigned to each home and monitors the child's development and progress. The social worker develops and supervises the implementation of the needs and services plan for each child. Progress is noted and reported to the county that referred the child.
