Program areas at Roots of Health
Systems Strengthening work includes all programs and activities carried out in order to improve the capacity of local government counterparts. This includes trainings for government health workers and nurses and midwives, helping local chief executives to plan responses to the issues of teen pregnancy and HIV, training teachers and principals on how to teach students in their schools about comprehensive sexuality education, and training for people to become certified in community based screening for HIV.
Media and Communications was the third largest program. Funds were used to create a new Tagalog-language website, and to pivot our in person lesson plans and modules into online bite-sized materials that our stakeholders could watch, read or engage with online.
Clinical services includes the costs of operating two contraceptive and family planning clinics. It includes the contraceptive commodities used and ancillary supplies including syringes, anesthesia, disinfecting equipment and other supplies.
