Program areas at Rochdale Village Social Services
Norc - offers a variety of supportive Services and activities to both the active, the frail and homebound senior citizens of Rochdale Village housing complex, to enable them to remain in their home environment and to age in place while living vibrant, healthy and productive lives. These Services include case management, case assistane, counseling, healthcare management, advocacy, and referrals.
Youth program - the youth program, known as the academic success tutoring program since 2016, provides after school, one-on-one and small group tutoring to mainly southeast queens, n.y. Youngsters in grades 3-12. A staff comprising new york city certified public school teachers, instructors and honor roll high school tutors provide the free weekly saturday classes in the Rochdale Village community center.
Senior citizens center - provide a safe, nurturing environment for mature residents sixty years of age and over. Meals, including nutritous lunch, educational, recreational and Social Services, as well as socialization and transportation,are provided to members on a daily basis in a concerted effort to stimulate and promote independence in Rochdale Village communitys aging population.
