Program areas at Richland County Land Bank

The organization acquires blighted properties through contributions and foreclosure proceedings. Buildings are evaluated for asbestos and other environmental hazards. Buildings not able to be rehabilitated are demolished. Empty lots are then offered first to adjoining Land owners who are eligible to purchase the lots. Lots are sold for a small fee plus recording costs.
