Program areas at AmPowering
Feed The Need, Mayka & Emergecy Support (India & USA): AmPowering distributed groceries, food, rental assistance, paying utilities, interim shelter in hotel, personal hygiene and many more as requested as per the need. Through this program in 2022, approximately 250,000 people were helped in the United States, and 70,000 people were helped in India. Helping people by paying their rent, utilities, food, groceries, transportation. Mayka program is providing interim shelter to many people in need who are facing homelessness due to situation of domestic violence and other reasons. In addition, under mental health, a retreat and sessions on The Well Mind were hosted.
Women Empowerment: AmPowering put on the Global Women Festival and traditional pageant with support from the City of Renton. Approximately 2,000 people attended this event. In addition, AmPowering provided free education and trainings to approximately 1,500 people in need, Helped few women earn with dignity through EmPowerUp.
Arts & Culture: AmPowering held the North America Fashion Week, one of the most equitable & inclusive fashion events with over 1500 people attending in person, Diwali - Festival of Light event to celebrate arts, culture and traditions. Both events promote Arts & Culture with support from the City of Renton and Arts Commission. There were few other smaller events conducted by AmPowering to promote arts and culture and they were Festival of color, garba.
