Program areas at Rainbow Center
The day rehab philosophy of having meaningful work and feeling needed and wanted, are crucial to the development of one's self-worth, productivity, and confidence. Day rehab offers opportunities to work within group settings and on an individual basis. Participants gain and refine daily living, social and vocation skills.
The housing program consists of two mental health living facilities. Each is licensed for 10 adults, a minimum of 19 years of age or older. Both houses are staffed by twenty four hour awake staff. Residents must be able to care for their own needs on different levels depending on the house they are living in. As a resident's skill level increases, Rainbow Center encourages them to transition to a less restrictive environment which may include independent living.
Community support is an in-home discipline that provides services to the participant where they live. Community support assists the participant in developing services and supports for successful community living. This program is completely participant directed and allows contact to be on a one to one ratio.
