Founded in 1960, Point Park University is a dynamic, urban university with a strong liberal arts tradition. Located in Downtown Pittsburgh, Point Park enrolls nearly 4,000 full - and part-time students in more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs offered through the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Communication and Conservatory of Performing Arts. Point Park University educates students in a diverse urban environment and prepares graduates to apply knowledge to achieve their goals, advance their professions and serve their communities.

Instruction- includes 5 academic schools; school of arts & sciences, rowland school of business, school of communication, conversatory of performing arts, and school of education, serving 2,575 undergraduate and 930 graduate students (fall 2021 census), as well as the pittsburgh playhouse which provide applied training for students. Popular areas of study are criminal justice & national security, humanities & social sciences, literary arts, natural sciences & engineering technology, psychology, accounting, economics, finance, information technology, business management, sports, arts, & entertainment management, communications, cinema arts, dance, theatre, community engagement, & education. In addition to numberous undergraduate degrees, the school offers twenty- two master's degrees and three doctoral degrees. Includes physical plant allocation.
Auxiliary enterprises- support of dormitories, dining hall, cafe, bookstore and recreation center for students, faculty and staff of the University. Includes physical plant allocation.
Academic support & student services- academic support provides support for the school's primary academic mission. Includes library services, program for academic success, information & media centers & provost office & center for teaching excellence. Student services includes admissions, career development, financial aid administration, registrar, student activities, student affairs office, as well as 16 men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams. Includes physical plant allocation.
