Program areas at Pipeline Worldwide
Village ambulances: providing village ambulances to aya and kweyo villages in moyo, uganda. Prior to this project, these remote communities have lacked access to emergency transportation that would carry expecting mothers and other emergency situations to nearby health centers. Many treatable conditions have resulted in unnecessary deaths.
Lonyi village: development of a compound on a parcel of land west of moyo, uganda. Development will include infrastructure and programming/resources for healthcare, education, and economic development and empowerment.
Agugwe water project: provided primary water source to an area with, among other residents, a school that is home to over 500 children who have been moving long distances for water for use at home and school.
Healthcare initiatives: in continuation of Pipeline's dedication to improving healthcare initiatives in the most impoverished areas of uganda, we have worked with hospitals that are in dire need of life-saving resources. These include neonatal equipment, orthopedic training, supplies and equipment, and general support to moyo general hospital.
School expenses: assisted with tuition and other school expenses, including medical training for local workers.
Trips: facilitated trips to uganda for the purpose of developing under-resourced communities, learning new cultures, and building relationships.
Other projects included battle of the boxes, a competition to convert shipping containers into housing for healthcare workers at refugee settlements in uganda. We also identified 4 villages and 1,000 households who previously lived in darkness but now have light and distributed solar lights.
