Program areas at Parentis Foundation

In 2023-2024, Parentis Foundation provided literacy intervention to 400 struggling readers grades 1-5 from Title I schools and Boys Girls Clubs in Orange County. 200 trained older adult mentors delivered 8,000 tutoring hours, improving fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. Progress was measured through beginning, mid-year, and end-of-year assessments, along with social-emotional benchmarks to track confidence and resilience. Our goal is to improve literacy and break the cycle of poverty by equipping students for lifelong success.
