Special needs ministry hope therapy center and the phu ninh therapy center serve 50-60 children and their families. In 2023, the staff provided 5,066 therapy sessions and 780 educational classes. Two children received cleft lip/palate surgeries. New beginnings school for the deaf provides education to deaf children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to go to school. In 2023, the christian teachers taught 1,572 academic classes to 15 students. The classes were signing, math, history, and reading classes. In addition, six of the children are enrolled in our vocational education program. This will help them obtain gainful employment and support themselves in the future.
Anti-trafficking prevention and recovery (2023) in the dark world of human trafficking, vietnam is a source country. That is, girls and women mainly, but also young men, are smuggled from vietnam to other countries through lies or coercion. Upon arrival in other countries (80% to china but others to europe and north america), the victims are forced into sexual or labor bondage. In addition to technical trafficking, vietnamese girls are also sometimes sexually abused. Orphan Voice works with the peoples' committees of danang and quang nam province to stop both these evils. Orphan care Orphan Voice operates promise house group home, a facility that cares for 19 children who came from destitution, abandonment, or abuse. Care covers housing, food, medical care, education, tutoring assistance, recreation. The father promises to restore the years that the locust has eaten in lives who have been ravaged by the enemy. Christ is faithful to restore his goodness in the lives of these children. Promise house group home provided full care (medical, clothing, food, housing, etc.) For 25 children living there during 2023.
Discipleship/evangelism Orphan Voice bible teachers/evangelists serve the highlands of vietnam, laos, cambodia and also minister to burmese refugees in india. In 2023, these preachers supported 62 fellowships with over 6,000 believers in vietnam, laos, and cambodia. 57 local people gave their lives to christ. In india, 42 meetings were held in 9 burmese (chin minority) refugee camps in mizoram state. Over 1,400 people heard the good news and 103 people got saved. In myanmar, 3 meetings were held, where 41 people heard the gospel, and 10 people received christ as their lord and savior. Vietnam: in gia lai province, our team of evangelists prayer for young man who was discharged from the army due to ptsd and, when back in his home village, stabbed his father to death. The man was violent and was chained up, but, after the prayer, he was delivered. Three young addicts requested prayer, repented and checked into a christian rehab center. The whole family of five believed in christ and started a fellowship at their own house. In quan tri province, the lang vay community received a gift of clean water - they got a new well built for them. Laos: in attapeu province, 10 people dedicated their lives to jesus christ at two of the churches, including a woman who got delivered from demonic possession. In savannakhet province, 18 new believers were added to the churches in the towns of muang sepone, muang non and muang phin. In salavan province, 15 new believers were added to the churches in xi muoi district. India: ten people received deliverance from depression as a result of the meetings held in mizoram state. Myanmar: ebenezar church in rangoon region held a special christmas outreach event for local buddhists. 16 people attended and heard the gospel. Includes all other program expenses.
