Program areas at North Carolina Health Information Management Association

Nchima provides workshops and an annual meeting to the ahima members of nc. In order to keep updated with current material/knowledge our delegates and president travel to ahima events to obtain this. The organization's purpose is to provide continuing education hours to nc ahima members. Education offered: icd-10 medical coding education, coding roundtables, workshops and offerings related to privacy/security, management and leadership, technology and other areas. Advocacy on implementation of icd-10 and patient identifier. Annual business meeting per bylaws, newsletter bi-monthly, updates on the ahima house of delegates, and support of regional and section activities.
