Its mission is to reduce energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, children, high energy users, or households with a high energy burden, by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety.. technicians utilize energy audits to determine which energy efficiency measure that are most appropriate and cost-effective for each home.. crews also address energy-related health and safety concerns, particularly carbon monoxide and combustion safety.
