Fall 2021 nmasc/district conference week october 16 - 21, 2020 you've got a friend in me - in-person, in all 5 nmasc districts state- wide - host schools: eldorado hs, farmington hs, espaola valley hs, artesia hs, centennial hs - national leadership consultant - lori kiblinger - building connections, communication, and networking - program attendance: 1,550
Summer leadership workshop - june 7 - 10, 2021 - host - nm tech university - workshop theme: life in the leadership lane - national workshop consultant dr. jim cain - teamwork & /teamplay; focus building connections, networking, communication, and camaraderie; leadership training; advisor professional development. - program attendance: 210
The national vision conference, Kansas city, ks area; hosted at shawnee high school, shawnee, ks -conference theme: grow yor leadership -value inspire share insight opportunity network - is created from the vision of Student reps and state execs from the region-6 states, that has become a national platform leadership annual event -nmasc delegation - 25 19 students grades 7-12; 6 advisors delegates from artesia hs, aztec hs, centennial hs, dulce hs / ms, espanola valley hs, las cruces hs, nex+gen academy hs, rio rancho hs and nmasc executive board -program attendance: 25 national Student council conference cancelled due to lack of interest in another virtual event. Other workshops, socials and events: -due to the aftermath of covid - 19, school closures for 11 school months, and 2 months each from summers 2022 and 2021, lack of fundraising due to school district policies, while nmasc returned to in-person events our membership, and attendance numbers were down from our pre-covid numbers, albeit a great bounce-back at our in-person events. -events are planned months in advance. One element that took is by surprise (and continue to evolve) was the spike in food, lodging, air travel and gasoline. -nmasc's region 6 (Student) representative; 2023 state president and executive director traveled to Kansas city, ks in april to participate in the planning of this 2022 vision conference. -2021-2022 members schools: 80 (high school and middle level) (membership down 20 schools from pre-covid 2019-2020 school year)
