New Braunfels Gemischter Chor Harmonie

The choir holds membership with the following organizations. 1. North american singers association 2. Southern district of north american saengerbund 3. Deutsch texanischer saengerbund (Texas) 4. Texanischer gebirgs saengerbund (Texas hill country) 5. The greater New Braunfels arts council each year a sangerfest is held with the Texas and Texas hill country organizations. The Chor works very closely with the german american society of New Braunfels. Other performances include singing for nursing homes, library programs, civic club events, german christmas church service, funerals, special birthday parties upon request, New Braunfels wurstfest in november. A sponsorship for the edelweiss kinderchor (children's choir) and the designated fund for music scholarships are ways to encourage young people to continue in the tradition of german heritage through song and language.
