Program areas at National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships

Accreditation services: naceps accreditation services are dedicated to the goal of ensuring the highest standards for dual and Concurrent Enrollment programs. Through our rigorous evaluation process, we strive to guarantee that these programs provide students with an authentic college experience while maintaining credibility, consistency, and credit transferability. Nacep offers two accreditation endorsements: college provided faculty (cpf) and Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (cep). In 2022, we received accreditation applications from 15 programs, and we are proud to have awarded accreditation to 10 Concurrent Enrollment partnership (cep) programs and 2 college provided faculty (cpf) programs. With this accomplishment, the total number of nacep-accredited programs nationwide in 2022 reached 135, across 133 institutions.
Member services: nacep is dedicated to serving its members and the dual and Concurrent Enrollment community through a range of initiatives. We provide professional development opportunities, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and the nacep leadership academy, to disseminate best practices and enhance the knowledge and skills of educators, administrators, practitioners, and policymakers in the field. Nacep also offers accreditation services, ensuring that programs meet rigorous standards and promoting quality assurance. Additionally, nacep supports its members through a resource center, publications, a members-only forum, monthly updates for the field and from the field, plain language research summaries, as well as offering valuable tools, guidelines, and best practices. We engage in advocacy and policy work at the state and National levels, striving to shape policies that support and expand dual and Concurrent Enrollment opportunities. Nacep fosters community, collaboration, and knowledge exchange by facilitating networking opportunities among its members and partnering with organizations within the education community. We also provide opportunities for recognition and celebration of exemplary programs and individuals through awards, honors, and publications. Naceps work is centered on supporting and advancing our members in order to lead the field of dual and Concurrent Enrollment, ensure quality, promote professional development, advocate supportive policies, and foster a strong community of educators, practitioners, and stakeholders.
Conferences, workshops and professional development events:nacep is the first and only National organization providing conferences, workshops, and professional development for dual and Concurrent Enrollment professionals. These activities aim to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in the field. In 2022, nacep hosted three in-person events serving over 1200 professionals, three virtual events with 227 attendees, and provided 34 webinars attended by 900 professionals. Additionally, the nacep leadership academy graduated its fourth cohort with 16 participants, aiming to develop emerging leaders and expand advancement opportunities in the field.
Outreach: nacep conducts outreach by having staff and volunteers present at various events and projects, including conferences and workshops, where they share expertise and best practices in dual and Concurrent Enrollment. Collaboration with partner organizations in the education community allows for joint initiatives/training/outreach, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of shared goals. Nacep also utilizes its 11 affiliated chapters as a means for reaching new audiences and expanding outreach efforts, allowing for localized engagement and targeted support within specific regions or states. Additionally, nacep actively engages with state-level policymakers, education agencies, and advocacy organizations to shape policies and practices that support dual and Concurrent enrollment.through these multifaceted outreach activities, nacep strives to raise awareness, share knowledge, and foster collaboration both within the dual and Concurrent Enrollment community and with external stakeholders. These efforts contribute to the growth, improvement, and expansion of high-quality dual and Concurrent Enrollment programs nationwide. Research: nacep actively promotes the development, dissemination, and practical application of peer-reviewed research to inform and enhance the work of practitioners in the field of dual and Concurrent Enrollment. Naceps research commission plays a central role in this work. The commission supports research through annual research development grants, distills research findings and shares them with the field through monthly publications and quarterly webinars, hosts in-person and virtual discussion forums for researchers and the research-curious, and does vital work to shape National research agenda through collaborative projects with other organizations and research groups. Through this work nacep contributes to the ongoing advancement and improvement of dual and Concurrent Enrollment practices and outcomes across the nation. Governmental relations:nacep engages in government relations by advocating for policies and legislation that support and advance the field of dual and Concurrent Enrollment. We build relationships with policymakers, provide them with policy guidance and support based on research, evidence-based information, and best practices. We make recommendations to shape policies that promote equitable access, quality standards, and funding opportunities for dual and Concurrent Enrollment programs. Nacep also organizes events such as legislative briefings, our Washington policy seminar, and member- led advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and garner support for dual and Concurrent Enrollment at the state and federal levels.
